My Story
I was a therapy client at one time, and improved awareness of my own personal psychology changed my life for the better. It didn’t change anything but the way I thought about myself and the way I related to others, and that is what improved my lived experience. I decided that this was the most important work I could do, so I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am now a licensed professional counselor in private practice.

Helping restore a person’s dignity is one of my favorite parts of being a therapist. My favorite part? Why did I get the graduate school education, the training, and the license? It is seeing the courage. Seeing the courage that ordinary human beings can achieve is why I do this work. It’s amazing. It is impossible to tell by looking who has reached into their soul and grasped the courage that defies human capacity. Is it that little kid on playground, the grandma with the walker, or the muscular, young man? I get a glimpse into these sacred spaces, and I honor that in each and every client.
It is an honor to be part of the journey of someone as courageous as a therapy client.
